Mark’s practice includes agribusiness planning for farm families, corporations, LLC’s, and other farm entities. He also focuses on the related transactional work including farm leases, land sales, and easements.  Mark’s practice naturally involves estate planning, probate, and Medicaid planning for his clients.  Mark has developed a specialty in water law.  He provides a broad spectrum of water law services to his clients including water right sales, and temporary and permanent changes. Mark has worked closely with Department of Ecology, several local water conservancy boards and has experience with appeals to the Pollution Control Hearings Board. He also advises on planning and appeals dealing with Federal farm programs administered by FCIC, FSA and NRCS.


Mark has been an invited speaker at the Ag Expo in Spokane, Washington discussing topics pertaining to water law, Medicaid and estate planning, and agricultural tax planning.  Mark also represents several municipalities including the Town of Odessa, City of Ritzville, Lincoln County Public Hospital District No. 1, and the Odessa Public Development Authority. 


Mark has a busy home life with his wife Margaret and their four children who enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, 4-H, and FFA.  Mark helps coach the Odessa High School football team and Mark is active in the Odessa Lion’s Club and Volunteer Fire Department.  Mark enjoys all that goes with raising a family and practicing law in small town Eastern Washington.
